Climate Policy Innovators Youth Camp 2.0 (2026) – Funded Youth Climate Leadership Programme in Asia-Pacific

Funding is available for selected applicants

The Climate Policy Innovators Youth Camp 2.0 is a funded regional capacity-building programme for young people engaged in climate policy and governance across the Asia-Pacific region. The 2026 edition will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, and is organised by the UNFCCC Regional Collaboration Centre for Asia and the Pacific (RCC Asia-Pacific).

Building on the success of the inaugural camp held in February 2025, the second edition responds to strong youth demand for deeper, more structured learning on climate governance, policy formulation, and implementation—particularly in relation to Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and National Adaptation Plans (NAPs).

About the Climate Policy Innovators Youth Camp 2.0

The Climate Policy Innovators Youth Camp 2.0 is designed to strengthen the ability of young people to meaningfully engage in climate policymaking and implementation at national, regional, and international levels.

The 2026 programme features enhanced learning modules that combine:

  • Technical climate policy knowledge

  • Applied policy and governance skills

  • Hands-on, practice-oriented learning

A strong emphasis is placed on inclusion, equity, and intersectionality, ensuring representation across gender, disability, Indigenous identity, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic background.

  • Foster inclusive youth leadership by addressing intersectional dimensions of climate governance

  • Enhance youth readiness to participate meaningfully in international climate negotiations and UNFCCC processes

Expected Outcomes

  • Demonstrate strengthened knowledge and skills for engaging in climate policy discussions and decision-making
