We are pleased to see your interest in the ECOSOC Youth Forum! The annual ECOSOC Youth Forum, which was launched in 2012, has become a space where young people can contribute to policy discussions at the United Nations through their collective ideas, solutions and innovations.

What is the ECOSOC Youth Forum?

The ECOSOC Youth Forum, ie the annual youth forum of the United Nations, is a platform that bring together young people from around the world to engage in deliberations on 2030 Agenda. It has evolved into a key platform where young people, high-level Government representatives and other stakeholders of the youth sector contribute to policy discussions through their positions, ideas, solutions, and innovations for the SDGs. It is organically connected with key UN processes and events under the umbrella framework of the UN General Assembly and 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The next ECOSOC Youth Forum will take place from the 14th-16th April, 2026 at the UN Headquarters in New York and the Youth Blast comprising capacity-building and training activities will take place on the 13th April 2026 in New York. There may also be a dedicated youth forum on financing and means of implementation on the April 17 in New York.
The 2026 Youth Forum will be a three-day event, with special sessions dedicated to FfD, SIDS, and youth and AI. The event will be held in-person, and it will feature opening and closing plenary sessions with representatives from youth organizations, as well as high-level and keynote speakers. Participants in the ECOSOC Youth Forum will be Member States, including Ministers and other high-level representatives, young people as well as representatives of regional and multilateral organisations.

The Youth Forum will bring together young people from a wide diversity of backgrounds. it will reflect the diversity of youth advocates, formal and informal youth organisations, entities and group working at the grassroots, national, regional and international levels. A particular emphasis will be given to representatives of marginalised and vulnerable youth communities.

To express interest in attending the forum, young people should fill out the form below. Note that currently there is no financial support available from the UN or any of the youth partners for the Youth Forum. Any funded opportunities available in the future will be shared with the participants registered through this form.

There are many opportunities to engage in activities leading up and at the forum, including speaking roles, facilitation roles, taking part in drafting the youth outcome report, etc. These will be shared in the future to the participants registered.

FINAL DEADLINE: January 30, 2026

Please note that this is an expression of interest form, and applications will be shortlisted through a selection process by the EYF Youth Partners Group to be invited to the forum.
