WTO Ministerial Conference 2026: Youth Registration & Accreditation Support (MC14)

The World Trade Organization (WTO) will convene its 14th Ministerial Conference (MC14) from 26–29 March 2026 in Yaoundé. This landmark global meeting brings together trade ministers and senior officials from all WTO members—countries and customs unions—to make decisions on matters covered by the WTO’s multilateral trade agreements.

For young people engaged in trade, development, climate, taxation, and economic justice, MC14 offers a rare opportunity to observe and engage with high-level global trade decision-making.

What Is the WTO Ministerial Conference?

The WTO Ministerial Conference is the organisation’s highest decision-making body, meeting approximately every two years. It has the authority to:

  • Take decisions on all matters under WTO agreements

  • Set priorities for the future work of the WTO

  • Address challenges and opportunities facing the multilateral trading system

At MC14, ministers will discuss global trade reforms, development concerns, and pathways for a more inclusive and resilient trading system.

Why Youth Participation at WTO MC14 Matters

Youth perspectives are increasingly critical to shaping fair and future-oriented trade policies—especially on:

  • Inclusive economic growth and decent work

  • Trade, climate action, and sustainability

  • Digital trade and the future of work

  • Equity for developing and least-developed countries

Meaningful youth engagement ensures that global trade decisions reflect intergenerational equity and the realities facing young people worldwide.
