Program Overview
UCAS welcomes international students worldwide to pursue postgraduate studies in:
- Master’s Programs (typically 3 years)
- Doctoral Programs (3–4 years)

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health.
- Hold a degree equivalent to a Chinese bachelor’s (for master’s) or Chinese master’s (for PhD).
- Demonstrate English proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL) or HSK Level 5 for Chinese-taught programs.
- Meet specific qualification requirements depending on their home country’s education system.

October 15, 2025 – April 15, 2026
Applicants seeking scholarships should submit before the specific scholarship deadlines.
Required Application Materials
All documents must be in English or Chinese (otherwise provide certified translations).
Required materials include:
- Passport information page
- Recent ID photo
- CV with full educational history
- Degree certificates and transcripts
- English/Chinese proficiency certificates
- Up to 5 published papers (optional)
- Motivation letter (study plan & goals)
- Two reference letters from professors
- Supervisor Acceptance Form (optional but encouraged)
- Financial support documents or scholarship proof
- Application fee receipt (if applicable)

Evaluation & Admission
Admission decisions are based on:

Visa & Registration
Admitted students must:
- Apply for a Chinese study visa (X1) using their UCAS Admission Letter and JW201/JW202 form.
- Register at UCAS on the designated date.
Fees (for self-funded students)
- Application Fee: RMB 600
- Tuition:
- Master’s: RMB 30,000/year
- PhD: RMB 40,000/year (STEM) / RMB 34,000/year (Liberal Arts)
- Accommodation: RMB 30/day (shared), RMB 60/day (single)
- Other costs (meals, travel, additional research expenses) are paid by students.
