The Islamic Scholarship Fund (ISF) is a rapidly growing nonprofit committed to increasing American Muslim representation in fields that influence public policy and public opinion. Through scholarships, mentorship, internships, fellowships, and leadership development, ISF works to advance educational and professional equity for underrepresented communities.

For 2026, ISF has opened applications for two full-time roles: Marketing Coordinator and Development Manager. Both positions play a crucial role in strengthening ISF’s national presence, community engagement, and long-term sustainability.

1. Marketing Coordinator

The Marketing Coordinator will support ISF’s digital communication, brand presence, and content strategy. Reporting to the Marketing Strategy Lead, the role focuses on ensuring consistent, compelling messaging across platforms.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. institution

  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or digital media

  • Strong writing and editing abilities

  • Experience managing social media accounts for a brand or organization

  • Familiarity with email marketing tools (Mailchimp preferred) and CRMs (Neon CRM)

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Basic experience with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience producing digital assets (short videos, graphics)

  • Understanding of nonprofit or cause-driven marketing

  • Familiarity with Muslim culture and traditions

  • Basic design skills (Canva or Adobe Creative Suite)

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and send email campaigns using Mailchimp, leveraging CRM segmentation

  • Manage ISF’s social media accounts, develop content, track engagement, and maintain the editorial calendar

  • Draft compelling campaign copy for newsletters, digital initiatives, and fundraising communication

  • Support major campaigns, including Ramadan and End-of-Year fundraising

  • Develop community-focused digital content and highlight alumni achievements

  • Maintain and update the ISF website with accurate program and event information

  • Track and report performance metrics across communications platforms

  • Ensure brand consistency across all digital channels

  • Coordinate with the Marketing Strategy Lead, Development team, and Program staff to maintain alignment

This role is remote, with hybrid priority for Bay Area applicants. Compensation ranges from $60,000–$70,000, including full benefits.


2. Development Manager

The Development Manager will lead donor engagement, manage regional fundraising events, and strengthen ISF’s national fundraising strategy.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. institution

  • 5–8 years of experience in nonprofit development, donor relations, or fundraising

  • Strong project management and event coordination skills

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

  • Experience managing staff, volunteers, or interns

  • Proficiency with CRMs and donor databases

  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience planning large-scale fundraising events or galas

  • Background in corporate sponsorship development

  • Grant writing or philanthropic prospecting experience

  • Familiarity with Muslim culture and traditions

  • Professional certification in fundraising (optional)

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate donor cultivation and stewardship strategies

  • Lead planning and execution of ISF’s major fundraising banquets in NorCal and SoCal

  • Manage cultivation events in key regions such as Chicago, Washington, D.C., and New York/New Jersey

  • Oversee donor campaigns, including Ramadan and End-of-Year initiatives

  • Manage corporate sponsorship outreach and engagement

  • Facilitate moves management processes and donor pipeline development

  • Supervise the Development Coordinator and ensure timely execution of activities

  • Prepare fundraising reports and event collateral

  • Maintain accurate donor records and CRM documentation

  • Provide on-site support at major events and foster strong donor relationships

This position is remote, with hybrid preference for Bay Area candidates, and offers a salary range of $75,000–$90,000, plus benefits.
