The AsiaGlobal Fellows Program, hosted by the Asia Global Institute (AGI) at The University of Hong Kong, is now accepting applications for its 2026 cohort. Launched in 2017, the program is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of global leaders who are equipped to understand and address complex challenges from an Asian perspective.
To date, the fellowship has supported 104 Fellows from over 55 countries, bringing together diverse mid-career professionals committed to public policy, global governance, economic development, sustainability, and social impact.
About the Program
The AsiaGlobal Fellows Program is an interdisciplinary, fully immersive leadership development experience based in Hong Kong. Through:
- A rigorous curriculum

- Engagement with scholars, policymakers, and business leaders
Fellows gain deep insights into geopolitics, economics, sustainability, technology, and governance, with a strong focus on understanding global issues through Asian lenses.
The fellowship is directed by Asia Global Institute (AGI), a multidisciplinary institute that provides a platform to explore timely global challenges and fosters informed, solutions-oriented dialogue.

Who Should Apply?
The program welcomes candidates from any country, background, or sector. To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be mid-career professionals with 8–25 years of experience
- Be active in public policy, politics, civil society, academia, or business
- Demonstrate a strong interest in the Asia-Pacific region
- Show a proven capacity to create positive impact in their organization and society
AGI values diversity and particularly encourages applicants with varied professional experiences and cultural perspectives.
Language Requirement
All program activities and materials are in English. High proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening is required.

All submissions must be completed through the online portal. No emailed applications will be processed.
Three Recommendation Letters
Referees (non-relatives who know your work) must submit letters directly in English.
Applications with missing letters will be marked incomplete.
Supporting Documents
Applicants may submit resumes, awards, citations, publications, or other materials to strengthen their application.
Interview (If Shortlisted)
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an online or in-person interview during the evaluation period.
