Cranfield University, in partnership with the British Council and the UK Mission to ASEAN, is now accepting applications for the ASEAN-UK Women in STEM Scholarships 2026. This prestigious initiative offers six fully funded Master’s scholarships to outstanding women from ASEAN member states who wish to pursue advanced studies in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in the United Kingdom.

The scholarship aims to address the persistent gender gap in STEM fields by empowering talented women with world-class education, leadership development, and global exposure. Successful applicants will begin their studies at Cranfield University in the 2026–2027 academic year.

This initiative supports the UK’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with ASEAN countries while promoting gender equality in STEM education and careers. What the Scholarship Covers

The ASEAN-UK Women in STEM Scholarship is a full scholarship, covering:

  • Monthly stipend of £1,731 for the 2026–2027 academic year (accommodation costs deducted if staying on campus)

  • Visa fees

  • Health coverage

Who Can Apply

Applicants must:

  • Be women, as defined under UK legislation

  • Be permanent residents of and hold a valid passport from an eligible ASEAN country

  • Meet Cranfield University’s academic entry requirements for the chosen course

  • Have obtained undergraduate results by 13 July 2026

  • Demonstrate financial need and be unable to self-fund UK studies

  • Have work experience or a proven interest in a STEM field

  • Commit to returning to their home country for at least two years after completing the degree

  • Demonstrate a clear plan to support women and girls in STEM

  • Be willing to act as a UK and British Council ambassador

Preference is given to candidates with limited prior international or UK study exposure.
