Sussex Progressive Futures Scholarships 2026 | £10,000 Funding for Master’s Students in the UK

The University of Sussex has announced the Sussex Progressive Futures Scholarships 2026, a prestigious funding opportunity designed to support outstanding students enrolling in selected taught Master’s degree programmes. The scholarship initiative celebrates the university’s new strategic vision, “Sussex 2035: Creating Progressive Futures,” and marks the establishment of the Sussex School for Progressive Futures.

This scholarship programme aims to support students whose academic interests align with global transformation themes such as digital innovation, environmental sustainability, and human development. The initiative reflects the university’s commitment to training future leaders who will contribute to building a more sustainable, equitable, and progressive world.

Scholarship Value and Benefits

The Sussex Progressive Futures Scholarship provides recipients with £10,000 as a tuition fee reduction. The scholarship is funded through a generous donation from a University of Sussex alumna who supports the institution’s mission to nurture global changemakers.

In addition to financial relief, recipients become part of a distinguished group of scholars connected to interdisciplinary research and innovation. The scholarship may also be combined with other Sussex funding opportunities, including:

  • Chancellor’s International Scholarship
  • Chancellor’s Master’s Scholarship
  • Sussex Country Scholarships

If the combined scholarship value exceeds the full tuition fee, the remaining funds may be paid as cash maintenance support after enrolment, subject to the university’s terms and conditions.
