2026–27 MSc Sexual and Reproductive Health Policy & Programming (SRHPP) Scholarships at LSHTM

The 2026–27 MSc Sexual and Reproductive Health Policy and Programming (SRHPP) Scholarships offer a competitive, fully tuition-funded opportunity for experienced health professionals from sub-Saharan Africa to pursue an intensive online master’s degree jointly delivered by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and the University of Ghana School of Public Health. The programme is designed to strengthen regional capacity in sexual and reproductive health (SRH) by equipping professionals with the skills to design, implement, and evaluate evidence-based policies and programmes across diverse health systems.

About the MSc SRHPP Programme

The MSc SRHPP is an online, practice-oriented programme targeted at professionals working in SRH or related health fields. It focuses on policy analysis, programme design, monitoring and evaluation, and leadership—ensuring graduates can translate research into impactful health interventions across sub-Saharan Africa.

What the Scholarship Covers

Each MSc SRHPP scholarship includes:

  • Full tuition fees at the LSHTM low- and middle-income country rate (GBP 17,850)

  • One-time allowance of GBP 1,000 to support IT equipment, internet access, or other learning-related costs

Please note:

  • The scholarship does not include a living stipend or monthly maintenance allowance.

  • The IT allowance is primarily to ensure reliable access to online learning.

Who Is Eligible?

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be a national of and ordinarily resident in a sub-Saharan African country (as defined by the World Bank)

  • Have applied for admission to the online MSc Sexual and Reproductive Health Policy and Programming (2026–27 intake)

  • Have at least two years of professional experience in sexual and reproductive health or another health-related field within sub-Saharan Africa

  • Meet LSHTM’s English language proficiency requirements if shortlisted (by 15 June 2026)

Preference may be given to applicants from:
Benin, Burkina Faso, Botswana, Central African Republic, Guinea-Bissau, DR Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Togo, and Zambia.

How to Apply (Two-Step Process)

To be considered, both steps must be completed by the scholarship deadline.

Step 1: Apply for the MSc SRHPP programme

Applicants are advised to apply early to allow time for the GBP 50 admissions application fee to be processed.

Step 2: Apply for the Scholarship
After submitting your study application, you will receive an automated email from scholarships@lshtm.ac.uk with login details for the LSHTM scholarships portal (e-vision).

  • Search for “MSc Sexual & Reproductive Health Policy and Programming”

  • Complete and submit the online scholarship application form

Sunday, 22 March 2026 at 16:00 (BST)

Late or incomplete applications (for either the programme or the scholarship) will not be considered.

Selection Timeline and Important Notes

  • English language requirements must be met by Monday, 15 June 2026 (if shortlisted)

  • Scholarship decisions will be communicated from the week beginning Monday, 1 June 2026

  • Applicants offered admission may request an extension of the deposit deadline while awaiting scholarship results by contacting the Admissions team
