Local employment charity Highway to Opportunities (H2O) are urging residents with employment related New Years Resolutions to call into the centre and see what they have to offer.
‘We know that many people in Oldham will be looking to make a change in their lifestyle this year, perhaps by getting back into work, changing jobs, or training for a new career path.’ Explains H20 Director, Jayne Entwistle.
‘If this sounds like you then we can help in a number of ways. We offer a range of different Learndirect including numeracy, literacy and IT. This year we’ll be offering some new courses including:
- A Leanrdirect employability programme which is available for those looking to return to work, covering general areas of employability such as CV writing and application forms.
- Learndirect NVQ Courses in Business Administration and Customer Care
‘Most courses can be completed at your own pace, you don’t have to commit to a certain numbers of hours per week, and help will be on hand from our friendly Learndirect tutors.’
In conjunction with The Oldham College, H2O will also be offering short courses in retail, customer service, and business administration which will lead to a guaranteed interview with local employers.
